Herbal Apprenticeship Program

Apprentices 2009-Josh, Jocelyn, Luna and 7Song The Northeast School of Botanical Medicine offers three positions for herbal apprentices. This is not a casual work/study program, but rather a demanding, active apprenticeship where you will be working closely with 7Song from April through November and learning the daily ins and outs of being an herbalist.

This herbal apprenticeship is for folks interested in training as clinical herbalists and wanting to delve deeply into the world of plants. Since we will be working closely together for many months, each applicant will need to be interviewed at least once in person. Apprentices are expected to work hard and diligently throughout our time together. Apprentices sit in on the 450-hour program, the weekend program, and some of the other venues where I teach.

There is no tuition cost for apprentices, though they must provide their own housing, books, tools, etc. Please do not apply for the apprenticeship only to save money on the other programs.

The 2010 Apprenticeship Program

The 2010 Apprenticeship Program is already filling up, with 2 spaces left and about 6 people actively applying (as of December 2009). So if you like to plan ahead, and you are interested, please give a call soon. I would also strongly suggest consider being a student rather than an apprentice. Just a thought.
