Description: Here is some of the young growth found on Piscidia this time of year. These parts help a lot in initially discerning its identity. The two roundish shapes on the left is a bud made up of stipules (which will soon fall off and leave characteristic stipule scars on the branches). In the middle is an axillary bud On the right is a very young leaf that will begin to unfold and turn green later
