Additional Information:

Scientific Name: Arnica cordifolia
Common Name: Arnica
Family: Asteraceae
Locale: Routt National Forest
Specific Region: Colorado
Description: Arnica cordifolia as it typically grows in the understory as a ground cover. While I was gathering it I realized that after I collected a bunch of flowers and then wiped the sweat off my face, it would soon start stinging, like a sunburn. I reckon that this is from the all the Arnica’s glandular secretions.
