Jamaican Dogwood

Description: Another picture of young growth. Note the hairy folded leaves on the outsides, the 2 tear-shaped axillary buds in the notches of branches, the odd helmet-shaped bud formed by stipules, and the enlarged base of the young leaf at the top of the photo, know at the pulvinus stalk.
